Twin Falls High School golf swept the Falls Classic in Idaho Falls on Wednesday.
TFHS’ Chase Beem won the boys tournament at a 3-under-par 69. The Bruins collected 295 strokes. Katelyn Miller led the Lady Bruins with a title as she shot a 1-over-par-73. The Lady Bruins finished with 319 strokes.
The squads remain undefeated in the Great Basin Conference and host the district tournament Sept. 28 at Twin Falls Golf Course. The Lady Bruins seek a title repeat at the 4A State Tournament on Oct. 6-7 in Moscow.

Eduardo Nieves scored twice as the Trojans won to tie the Cutthroats for first place in the High Desert Conference.
Walker Pate scored the lone goal for the Cutthroats with a walk-in goal in the first half and Julian Ponce added the other for Wendell.
The squads split their regular season series as Sun Valley Community School won 4-1 on Aug. 29.
“The kids, they have been thinking about that game the whole time,” Trojans coach Felipe Paniagua told the Times-News. “Luckily today, they were more hungry than them and we got a little bit more goals than them.”

Hanna Bailey boasted a double-double for the Cutthroats with 16 kills and 10 aces to deliver Lighthouse Christian its first loss of the season.
Kiki Pate added 16 kills for the Cutthroats with seven aces Ellie Hunter. Gemma Albro did also not miss a serve for the Cutthroats (4-4 overall, 1-1 Canyon Conference) who visit Wendell at 6 p.m. Oct. 3.
The Lions (6-1 overall, 4-0 Snake River Conference) host Castleford at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Hazel Fischer posted a double-double with 16 digs and 11 kills to lead the Wildcats to the sweep. Many Wildcats contributed heavily with eight kills, seven digs and a pair of aces from Allie Bishop. Izzy Brown grabbed 16 digs. Faith Robinson logged 35 assists and eight digs.
The Wildcats (3-2 overall, 2-2 Sawtooth Central Idaho Conference) host Snake River at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday while Buhl (2-4 overall, 1-3 Sawtooth Central Idaho Conference) competes in the Rocky Mountain Invitational on Friday and Saturday in Meridian.

Sun Valley Community School’s Josh Harris won the Richfield Time Trial in 18:30 while Ben Haynes finished second with 18:50 in the field of 15 runners. Lincoln Gage also placed fourth in 19:50.
