The state of Idaho’s top-rated football recruit will no longer become a Boise State Bronco.
Gatlin Bair, Burley’s standout wide receiver, decommitted from Boise State, he announced Friday night on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“First of all I want to thank all of the coaches, support staff and fans at Boise State for their support,” Bair wrote. “Many elements have changed both at BSU and for myself since my commitment. I want nothing but the best for all involved. With that being said, going forward I will be decommitting from BSU and focusing my recruitment on Michigan and Oregon. I appreciate everyone's understanding and privacy for my family and I in this difficult decision. Thank you.”

Bair will graduate from Burley High School at semester and remains the ninth-ranked wide receiver in the 2024 class, according to 247 Sports.
Bair won’t play college ball until 2026 as he will embark on a two-year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Dallas.
To cap his high school career, Bair will become the second Idahoan to play in the prestigious All-American Bowl on Jan. 6 at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas.
