Anna is an experienced Project Professional, with experience working in the UK and Europe, who made the transition to PMO 4 years ago when the opportunity arose at Pets at Home. 

Since 2020 she has been responsible for setting up and establishing the PMO that provides assurance and insights for the Change Portfolio, and she’s become a budding data geek as a result of the career move!  

Anna is based in Manchester, where she lives with her husband, and Bob, a rescue dog from Lanzarote.

Session: Pets at Home: The PMO journey so far and what’s next

The Pets at Home PMO was established in 2020 following an ‘AHA moment’ from the Exec. We’ve gone from ‘we can’t call it PMO, its Change Governance’ in 2020, to ‘why is the team called Change Governance, when its PMO?” in 2024?

In this session we’ll talk about the successes and challenges of maturing our Portfolio Management from the PMO perspective. We explain how by using a collaborative approach with other functions we have established and embedded a Change Delivery Lifecycle and, matured project assurance, resource management and reporting to meet evolving business needs. We’ll share our updated PMO vision for 2024 and our plans and ambitions for the PMO for the next 12 months and how we are planning to achieve them.
