David Dunning

Founder, director and owner of CPS

David Dunning is an experienced portfolio, programme and project management professional with 30+ years of experience, having previously qualified in MoP®, MSP®, P3O®, Prince2® and been an APMG Registered Consultant. 

Much of that has come as founder, director and owner of CPS - CPS.co.uk (which is a Corporate Affiliate), which started originally as a PPM solution vendor, and has latterly developed into a significant UK Microsoft Partner. David was for many years professional services director and directed large CPS delivery programmes into Defence, Technology, Pharma (to name a few). 

David spent 5 years+ supporting APM Portfolio Management Interest Network, and has presented topics with PMO Interest Network (several times) and Programme Management Interest Network. 

David is also founder of the Business Integrated Governance (BIG) Community Interest Company (CIC) – BIG-CIC.org.uk – which has developed the BIG Body of Knowledge (BoK) – which is shared in the public domain. (Incidentally - APM is the BIG CIC named beneficiary in its articles of association.) 

David also directs a small consulting company deepteam.co.uk which specialises in strategy to delivery.

During this engaging presentation, David Dunning will take us through the PMO journey of connecting to the wider strategy of the Business through the lens of the business Integrated Governance (BIG).

David will set the scene and then bring some key questions for the audience to consider connection, accountability, and integrated quality governance to bring to light the deficits we are facing, and how to approach the improvements needed in the reality of our individual PMOs.
