Jo Dobson
Associate Director, Useful Projects
Jo is an award-winning sustainability leader with over 15 years’ experience developing innovative strategies for a wide range of major clients. She is particularly passionate about supporting organisations and projects achieve long-term environmental and social outcomes.
She is an Associate Director for Useful Projects (a B Corp and Social Enterprise), where she oversees projects spanning net zero carbon, circular economy and social value.
Jo was a sustainability manager during design and construction of the London 2012 Olympic Park, authored several sustainability learning legacy research papers, then developed sustainability strategies for the Brazil 2014 World Cup and Rio 2016 Olympics. She went on to spearhead the development of sustainability strategies in the built environment sector, as well as conducting major research and producing guidance for industry institutions. More recently she is working with Sport England and UK Sport to accelerate sustainability action across the sports sector.
