TWIN FALLS — The wins continue to stack for No. 17 College of Southern Idaho women’s basketball.
Kennedy Gillette powered the Lady Golden Eagles to a 73-60 win over Western Wyoming Community College on Tuesday night in the CSI Gymnasium.
The freshman’s 3-point shooting has helped her emerge as the leading scorer for the No. 3 Lady Golden Eagles.
It marks CSI's fourth straight win.
Gillette’s 12 points led CSI while Makeili Ika scored 11 with six assists and four rebounds.
“I was happy for Ika,” CSI head coach Randy Rogers told the Times-News. “She had been struggling just a little bit but she was able to knock down some shots and get to the rim.”
It became Ika’s second-most points of the season. She scored 13 on Dec. 1.
Brayli Jenks boasted nine points on 3-for-5 from beyond the arc with five rebounds. Kaylee Headrick nearly accumulated a double-double. She earned eight points and 10 rebounds.
