A regional honor for a College of Southern Idaho star.
CSI forward Jamisyn Heaton earned the Scenic West Athletic Conference Player of the Week, the league announced Tuesday.
She is the first Lady Golden Eagle to win the award so far this season.
Heaton, a Colorado Mesa transfer, averaged 14 points over three games last week, shooting 67% from the field. She averaged four rebounds, two assists and a steal per game.
The CSI women’s basketball program, fresh off a trip to the NJCAA national semifinals, has landed a pair of NCAA transfers for the 2023-24 season.
Heaton started 29 games for Colorado Mesa and earned 10 starts at CSI as of Monday.
She averages 10.9 points per game, second most on CSI.
CSI (12-3 overall) hosts Western Wyoming Community College at 5 p.m. Tuesday. A win would become CSI's fourth straight.
